About The Event
Drawing from both the artist’s book collections held in Arnolfini’s archive and The Centre for Fine Print Research at UWE, this exhibition will bring together artist’s books that are instructive, and invite the audience to collaborate with us in carrying some of the instructions out. Coming from conceptual art of the 1960s many artist’s books collect together instructions for carrying out various actions, as well as providing a means for documenting these often collaborative and ephemeral art practices.
The title for the exhibition was determined by the instruction from Jonathan Monk's artist book Meeting #13.
